Who We Are

Living Word Lutheran Church is a member of the Association of Free Lutheran Congregations. The AFLC is a fellowship of independent congregations, who have chosen to be interdependent for the purpose of accomplishing service in the Kingdom of God that cannot best be done alone.

Living Word Radio Ministry

Living Word now has a radio ministry on local station AM980 KKMS each Sunday at 8:30 a.m. You are invited to listen in. If you are not able to listen via radio, you can go to the website of KKMS and access the radio station through streaming audio. Statement of Faith

We believe in one God who has let us know Him; God the Father who created us; God the Son, Jesus Christ, who died on the cross to forgive us our sins; and God the Holy Spirit, who is our teacher and counselor.

We believe that the Bible is the inspired Word of God. It is much more than just another book. The Bible is without error and is always dependable (infallible). Because God does not lie, we can completely trust in what He says in the Bible, both for our life today and for our eternal salvation.

We believe that without Jesus Christ, we have no hope. Jesus entered into this sinful world to take away our sins. Our entry into heaven does not depend upon our good works, but the finished work of Jesus on the cross. We are to repent of our sins and in faith accept the grace and mercy of the Lord.

Yes, there is a real heaven and a real hell! Yes, there is a God who loves you and a Savior who died for you. Yes, you can know that your sins are forgiven and that when you die, you can go to heaven. Our church, as a member of the Association of Free Lutheran Congregations, accepts only the authority of the Bible and the Holy Spirit to lead it, rather than human institutions or church government.
